German engineering company EDAG has published the first picture of the concept of a compact sports car Light Cocoon with super light "skeleton like" body. The public premiere of the prototype will be held in March at Geneva Motor Show. According to the company, the new product is not only the concept of a small sports coupe, it's an extraordinary project of light motor vehicle of the future, which would set a new trend in creating vehicles with unusually light architecture. A Light Cocoon, printed on a 3D printer, is a solid supporting structure of skeleton like body, where only the most necessary materials are exist. Exterior panels made of special waterproof fabric, which is four times lighter than normal copy paper. It is expected that further details of the concept will become distinguished closer to the premiere date. EDAG Light Cocoon is a logical extension of the concept of body, called Genesis, shown in previous Geneva Motor Show. According to the developers, the prototype is a "model of Bionic turtle shell".
