The Italian company Ferrari that manufactures luxury sports cars, will pay US authorities a penalty of 3.5 million dollars. This was reported today on 3rd of November by the National Council of United States Road Safety.
As it is noted in the statement by the regulator, contrary to the requirements of the American legislation, Ferrari starting from 2011 year didn't provide records of consumer’s complaints and possible defects.
In addition to the civil penalty, Ferrari must train personnel on the reporting necessities and very actively submit its reports to the NHTSA.
