Opel showed its smallest model

Opel has officially unveiled its smallest model is a five-door hatchback called Karl. Novelty is named after one of the sons of the founder of the German automaker Adam Opel. In the British market hatchback will be called Vauxhall Viva. It is expected that the public presentation of the model will be in spring of 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show. Overall length Opel Karl is 3680 millimeters. Thus, the novelty was smaller than Adam and Corsa. The difference in the length with the first model is 67 millimeters, and with the second is 341 mm. Initially, the model will be offered with the sole engine: three-cylinder Ecotecfamily unit. Its impact is 75 horsepower. Motor is combined solely with manual five-speed transmission. Dynamic characteristics of a 900-kilogram "Karl" is not known yet.
Prices for Opel Karl in Europe will start from 10 million euros. This model is a competitor for Volkswagen up!, Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10 and Fiat Panda.
