150 Cadillac dealerships in the US refused to sell electric cars

It became known that 150 dealerships of the Cadillac brand in the US market refuse to contribute money to the promotion of electric vehicles. General Motors has long had plans to prepare dealerships for the sale of electric vehicles. The partners of the company received an offer to redesign the centers. This includes the organization of charging stations, the acquisition of modern equipment, and staff development. The total cost was estimated at $ 200,000.

However, dealerships were offered an alternative solution - to refuse to sell Cadillac and receive payments from GM. A decision had to be made before the end of November. As a result, nearly 17% of US dealerships chose the latter option.

Recall that the first electric car in the portfolio of the Cadillac brand is the Lyriq. So far, this model has only been shown as a prototype. The implementation of the serial version can begin as early as 2022. The initial cost is at the level of 60,000 dollars.
